We’re delighted to report that today we completed the relocation of our headquarters. All the boxes have been unpacked, the new carpet hoovered and our motorcycle and commercial insurance broker specialists are manning the ‘phones amidst their spacious new surroundings! Our new offices are just down the road from our previous base – but three times its size. That’s so we can not only comfortably accommodate staff that we’ve recently recruited, but those we are expecting to join the business as we continue to benefit from rapid growth. These are exciting times for Principal Insurance. In 2014-15 we enjoyed record breaking sales with some 50% growth in the value of policies sold, hitting the £5m mark. This financial year – which for us ends on October 31st – we expect to double that! But it’s not just in Manchester that we’re growing. Our specialist motor broking business – which offers multi-vehicle, kit and replica, prestige, high performance and classic car insurance – has already had to extend into a second office having only relocated from Kendal to Lancaster in June. Over the water in Dublin, our offices are also being reconfigured to create space for our growing workforce. We’re going great guns in Ireland and having already made a serious impression on the motorcycle insurance market are now turning our sights to the car, van and home sectors. So strong is our growth that our business plan anticipates a further 30 jobs being created in Manchester within less than two years and more in both Lancaster and Dublin.
