When is the 2019 NEC Bike show?

Motorcycle Live 2019, the UK’s largest motorcycle show, runs for eight days from Saturday 16th November to Sunday 24th November. Hosted at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) it opens its doors at 9am on weekend days, 10am on weekdays. Doors close throughout at 5pm.

What’s included in your ticket?

The short answer is quite a lot. Obviously there’s the top manufacturers showing off their current models and fresh metal for 2020. Motorcycle Live 2019 showBut there’s something for everyone. Themed zones include the National Motorcycle Museum supported Classic Feature and Back Street Heroes’ Custom Feature. A host of biking bloggers and vloggers have also been lined up for the Social Hub, including the likes of r1Liz, Motobob, _lunarr_ and courtneyscarlett. There’s also a special BSB Day (Saturday 23rd November) with Q&A sessions and selfie-opportunities with stars from the domestic championship. The next day (Sunday 24th November) there’s a similarly structured Isle of Man TT Day. Your ticket will also include entry to Moto Cirque, an all-action show which combines BMX with FMX, trials, stunt riding and more. Performances are twice daily Monday to Thursday, three times daily Friday through Sunday. A special treat this year sees Suzuki bringing two of Barry Sheene’s bikes to be restored live at the show. One returned to glory, the iconic racer’s last GP bike, a 1984 Harris-framed XR45 RG500, and the XR23A he rode in the 1979 F1 and Trans Atlantic series will also be fired up. Both bikes were recently imported from Australia along with Sheene’s 1978 XR27 RG500 which will be displayed alongside a pair of 70s championship winning XR14s. Regular visitors to the NEC bike show will know too that it’s a great place to hear from and meet some of your heroes. Riders and celebrities lined up for personal appearances this year include Carl Fogarty, Jonathan Rea, John McGuinness, Ron and Leon Haslam, Jason O’Halloran, Maria Costello and many, many more.

How much are Motorcycle Live 2019 show tickets?

Advance tickets to the NEC bike show tickets are significantly cheaper than on-the-gate prices. Standard adult entry booked in advance costs £19.50, a saving of over 20% on the £25 you’ll pay on the day. Bear in mind though that there’s a £1.50 advance ticket processing fee. E-tickets are free with £1 levied if you want tickets posting. This year the organisers have come up with a nifty ticket and lock bundle. £25 will get you adult entry plus an Oxford Products HD Max Disc lock which you must collect at the show. This heavy duty number is made with hardened steel, carries Sold Secure accreditation and - with a £24.99 rrp - means you’re effectively spending just a penny to get into the show! Motorcycle Live ticket prices are: Adult advance £19.50 Adult on door £25.00 Adult + HD Max lock £25.00 – advance sales only Seniors (65+) advance £12.00 Seniors (65+) £15.00 Kids (6-16) advance/door £1.00 It’s free for kids aged five and under. If you’re disabled you can apply for a complimentary carer ticket by calling 0800 640 5001. If a gang of you are visiting together, there’s a 10% discount for adults/seniors groups of 10 or more. This brings the cost of an individual adult ticket down to just £17.55. Non-GB passport holders with travel documentation for the day of visit can pay £10 on the door (no advance tickets).

How do I get to the NEC?

By road You’ll find the NEC just off the M42, close to junction 7 of the M6. This makes it accessible from every direction, with links via the M1, M5 and M40 and M6 Toll motorways. If you're using a sat-nav, use the B40 1NT postcode. By train If you come by train head for Birmingham International, which is adjacent to the NEC. Some services will run direct whilst others will require a change at Birmingham New Street some 10-15 minutes down the line. By air You can even jet in, with Birmingham International Airport also next door. Overseas visitors can enjoy the show for just £10 (see ticket details above). Parking The secure, undercover and free bike park opens and closes one hour either side of show times. You can also store your gear for £1 per item in the cloakroom. Car parking costs £12 on the day, £10 in advance (see ticket links above). Parking is subject to availability.
