Manchester HQ expansion as we continue to recruit

The next chapter in our success story will see us more than doubling the size of our Manchester HQ -  just eight months after we relocated to new offices. From May we will occupy the second floor of Citygate in Sale, Manchester (pictured below, left). Principal Insurance, Sale, ManchesterThis highlights just how fast we are growing given that it was only last September that we took on the third floor of the newly refurbished building having outgrown our former home at Dalton House, also in Sale. Contractors are currently on site fitting out the additional 6,555 sq. ft of office space which will house call centre, administration and back-office staff, as well as enhanced training facilities. It will also become home to our rapidly expanding Commercial insurance division.

The move comes after we significantly exceeded our own growth forecasts resulting in swift expansion of staff numbers. When we moved to Citygate we announced plans to create 40 new jobs in Manchester within two years. In fact we've already smashed that forecast having recruited over 40 talented and committed individuals since last September and now employ more than 70 staff at HQ. What's more we're still actively recruiting and expect a further six staff to have joined the payroll in April alone! As our managing director Dave Bowcock (below, right) explained: “Trading has been impressively robust across the board with our recently established van and commercial lines performing particularly well. Even we’ve been caught a little by surprise at the sheer pace of that growth. Business momentum

He added that he expected the business to maintain its momentum as new initiatives kick in. “We’re in the final stages of negotiation to take our van insurance onto leading price comparison sites. Greater marketing resource will also be focused on the Commercial division which is already going great guns.” Rapid growth is also being experienced at our specialist motor broking operation in Lancaster and offices in Dublin.
