Web chat lets you get things sorted in a click

The launch of a web chat service means it’s now even easier to get things sorted with Principal Insurance.

The handy new facility is automatically available to all visitors to the Principal Insurance UK website.

Every time you visit the site a web chat window will pop up in the bottom right hand corner. Click that and you will be able to chat live to a helpful advisor.

They’ll be able to assist you with a range of enquiries. These include questions about the cover provided by the policies we arrange, or amending an existing policy.

Your query can be about any of the policies we are arrange, including motorcycle, private, specialist and classic car, home, business and van insurance.

Whilst it won’t be possible to go through a full insurance quote with you, your web chat adviser will be able to take outline details and arrange a call back at a time convenient for you. To help provide a prompt and accurate response, they’ll also have access to our policy database and quoting system.

But you can still give us a bell!

Of course you’re still free to give us a call and have a chat to a friendly advisor or customer service agent. All our departments can also be contacted by email.

The introduction of web chat simply provides another handy way for you to contact us.


The new service is available weekdays between 9am-5.30pm. You can tell when it’s live because that cheeky little icon will pop up – if it doesn’t appear then please try calling during office hours – 8.30am to 6.30pm weekdays, and 9am till 1pm on Saturdays.
